Ryoya Kawai Self Introduction

I love the web. I have worked in the music industry as a software engineer for ten years. Six of those years were spent on the server side and remaining four on the front-end. My favorite languages are JavaScript, PHP, Perl, and Node.js and I am currently working closely with W3C to standardize Web MIDI. I now call San Francisco home but do a lot of traveling back and forth between Japan and US. #

What is this talk about?

The browser once, a simple tool for fetching and rendering content is now the most important application platform in the world. However, there are challenges, and one such issue is the ability to connect to external devices. This talk focuses on the MIDI and Bluetooth API's that allow the browser to communicate with external devices.
